ROLA ABU DARWISH
Rola Abu Darwish is a visual artist based in Beirut.
She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2015 and her Masters in Fine Arts in 2019 from the Lebanese University. She is primarily a painter whose body of work consists of semi-abstract paintings.
Her visual language aims to create a space and a place that is unrelated to our objective reality. She depicts strange worlds populated with creatures, limbs and eyes, intermingling with dots, splatters and other shapes and forms.
Her works have been included in a collective exhibit titled “Dear Moon,” at Zalfa Halabi Art Gallery where she also had a solo show called “Foreign Bodies,” and she also collaborated on an installation as part of a year long public and immersive exhibition titled “Allo Beirut” at Beit Beirut Museum (2022-2023).
